From the Publisher: Mary Whaley has her hands full running a successful catering company and overseeing her supper club. She has everything she ever wanted—or so she thought. When she meets ridiculously hot and very dirty rock star Damien Hurley at her friend’s engagement party, the attraction she feels is overpowering—and she isn’t about to deny herself.
Damien is used to a hard and fast life. He and two of his brothers started a band when they were fresh out of high school—then they hit the big time and stayed there. He’s also a legendary madman on the stage and in the bedroom. But when he meets Mary, something clicks, and the bad boy starts thinking he may have finally found something good.
What begins as a series of fleeting trysts soon gets much more complicated. Damien can’t figure out why Mary doesn’t want more from him. And before long, it’s Damien who wants more from Mary. But it turns out Mary is no stranger to celebrity news, and he’s got a very big job ahead of him: proving that he’s worth more than a one-night stand…
I usually like to keep my reviews short and sweet and not spoil the novels for readers. My first thoughts on this novel were OMG! What is hotter than a drummer, bad-boy named Damien? The name alone screams sex, hotness and a good time.
The novel was a fun read. I enjoyed how Mary was an independent woman through most of the novel, yet she has a sensitive side as we all do. She didn’t want to allow herself to fall into love, but just have a fun affair so to speak. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. Mary fell hard and honestly who wouldn’t with an alpha male like Damien.
Damien- rocker drummer and recovering bad boy- drips sex and hotness. He meets Mary at a function that her best friend throws and they begin a wild tryst until Damien wants more. Having fallen for Mary, Damien sets out to prove that he is not the bad boy drummer he once used to be. Whisking her off to New York and then to his home, Damien tries desperately to win her heart.
Walk in the paparazzi and the life that comes along with being a rock star and the couple face problems. Mary runs, Damien runs after.
The novel was a fun read and the sex scenes were hot. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a sexy bad boy rocker and hot sex. 🙂
