From Publisher:

When Kendra Morgan attends a party at an exclusive sex club, she’s not driven by mere curiosity. Hoping to prove she’s put the past behind her, Kendra must instead face up to needs she’s denied for too long. Despite her lingering fears, she can’t resist the temptation to play…

Deklan Winters has had his eye on his attractive neighbor for months, but only senses Kendra is no stranger to the BDSM scene when she walks into his club. And he can tell that’s not her only secret. What surprises him is his own overwhelming desire to give her what she craves—and to show her a side to the Dom/sub relationship she’s never known.

With Deklan’s guidance, Kendra begins to accept her forbidden needs and to recognize the fine line between pleasure and pain. But when her former Master returns to reclaim her, it will take all her courage—and all of Deklan’s love—to defy her past.

My Review:

I was introduced to The Wicked Play series when I reviewed the first novel, Bonds of Trust (Review here). I loved the first one and absolutely loved this one as well.

I loved Deklan in the first and boy did he not disappoint in this novel.  An ex-military Green Baret, he is extremely protective and very much an Alpha Male. He battles his emotions relating to training Kendra as a sub and actually falling in love with her.  I will not spoil anything…but Aicher threw a monkey wrench in towards the end. Let’s just say we see Deklan kneeling.

Kendra’s character is one that is close to my heart. A victim of a D/s relationship gone wrong. Kendra is a masochist and needs pain in order to function through her stressful life. From a wealthy family, Kendra was the black sheep.  Her fears are rooted in the abuse she endured.  Deklan sees her need for pain and also her struggle to protect herself from her past.

Their relationship takes some big twists and turns, and they both have fears to overcome in order to be who they were destined to be.  Hoping Ms. Aicher graces us with a third one, Seth maybe?

With hot men, hot sex scenes and a good story, how could you not read it!

A great read and continuation of the Wicked Play series.
